Thinking of attending a worship service at Faith Lutheran Church, but not sure what to expect? We realize that visiting a new church can be a little intimidating, so we'd like to answer some common questions.
What time do your services start?
Sunday worship begins at 9:00 AM and is our more traditional service. Sunday School follows at 10:00 AM. (September–May) You do not need to be a member for your child to attend Sunday School. Wednesday evening worship is at 6:15 PM. For both services, prayers and songs are projected on a large screen. Worship services are about one hour in length. Our Sunday service is followed by a time of fellowship and refreshments.
Do I have to dress up?
No, you don't. We encourage people to dress comfortably. For some, that may mean dressing up, but for most it simply means wearing casual clothes. We want everyone to come, be comfortable, and enjoy learning about God together.
What about children?
We love to have children with us in worship! We always have bags of soft toys and books located in the back of church to keep the little ones busy during the church service.
Can I participate in communion?
The Sacrament of Holy Communion is offered the first and third Sundays and Wednesdays of the month. All are welcome to join us in receiving our Lord's body and blood, so feel free to participate! It is our stance that it is not our table, but it is the Lord's Table so, please, join us in the foretaste of the feast to come.
How do I get to Faith Lutheran Church?
Faith Lutheran is located at 255 Roosevelt Street in Valders (right on Highway 151). It's the church with the large ski-slope shaped roof! Get Directions Here. The sanctuary entrance is located on the upper level and the church building is completely handicapped accessible.

How do I join the congregation?
Again, get in touch with Pastor Dan. He'd be very happy to meet with you and describe the process for you. In the meantime, join in on any and all the activities and events you're interested in and get involved just like you are a member. We include members and non-members in just about everything we do! Check out the church calendar for dates and times of other activities.
How do I enroll my child(ren) in Sunday School?
If you want to enroll your child(ren) in our Sunday School program, you can come to the Church Office any Sunday and talk with a member of the Sunday School Staff. They will help you find the class your child(ren) belong to, introduce you to the teacher and begin helping your child(ren) get settled in. There's a registration form that will be important for you to fill out too, so we have some needed information about your family.
