Confirmation

Confirmation is a three-year program (September through May). In 7th & 8th grade, the students meet on Wednesday nights (7:15 to 8:15) to learn about the Old and New Testaments. They also go to Bible camp together for one week in the summer, complete service hours and worship notes.

In 9th grade each student is paired with a mentor. The student may request an adult from the congregation to be his/her mentor for the year or an adult who has volunteered to serve as a mentor can be provided.  Mentors and students meet once a month to talk about their faith and do monthly service hours together.

At the end of the program, each student writes a personal faith statement and chooses a “Life Verse” that they find meaningful from the Bible.

Recent 9th Grade Confirmation highlights included a visit to a Jewish Synagogue, Beth El, located in Sheboygan..
