"Children of the Plains"

Come and see the 20/20 episode “Children of the Plains” by Diane Sawyer at 9:15 a.m. Sunday, January 8^th in the Reception Room. This documentary shows the plight of life for youth and families on the  Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. The children of Pine Ridge are some of the poorest in our county. Come and join in the discussion of this video jointly sponsored by the Youth and Family Board and the Hands on Mission Committee.

 

It is our hope to have an inter-generational mission trip during the summer of 2012 to the Pine Ridge Reservation. 

 

Habitat for Humanity

Has home ownership always seemed liked an impossible dream?  If you want to own a home, volunteer, or just want to know more, this informational session is for you!  Join us Thursday, January 19 at 6:00 p.m. at Faith.  Free child care is provided. 

Applications will be available and members of the Family Services Committee will be present to help you.  Please call Jean at the Manitowoc County Habitat for Humanity office at 683-8466 to register for the session.

 

 

Faith's Pantry

is open the 3rd Saturday of the month from 10:00-11:00 a.m. serving people within a 10 mile radius of Valders.  If you are in need, please stop in and we can help you.
