of Holy Communion. They receive their First
Communion during Holy Week on Maundy Thursday.
3. Eighth Grade - Students start their confirmation
study the summer between seventh and eighth grade
with a week at Imago Dei Village for confirmation
camp. Throughout their eighth grade year they
meet weekly with a Pastor and study the "Here
We Stand" series.
4. Ninth
Grade - Students pick a confirmation mentor and
meet with them every third Wednesday of the month
to work on the "Making Disciples" curriculum.
They meet a minimum of six times.
5.
Tenth Grade - Students and mentors continue to
meet on the third Wednesday of the month during
the school year. They complete their student mentor
book. Students are expected to have completed
their attendance slips, sermon notes, and memory
contracts. Students will complete a Faith Statement
and a stole in final preparation for confirmation.
Students also meet with two members of the Board
of Christian Education for an interview.
Confirmation is held each year on Pentecost Sunday.
We hope that each student has made a spiritual
connection as they affirm their baptismal vow
and are welcomed into the congregation as an adult.
